June 11, 2024
Body camera footage captured a 37-year-old man wanted on arrest warrants as he reversed his vehicle and struck a Whitehall police officer and a cruiser before fleeing a stop.

Ohio police apprehended a driver wanted on existing warrants and accused of running into an officer and a cruiser Monday.

The incident happened as Whitehall police used a Flock camera to locate Aaron Moore, a 37-year-old man wanted on arrest warrants through the Dublin Police Department, WSYX-TV reports. When police stopped him in a parking lot, Moore put his vehicle in reverse before driving away and hitting a cruiser and an officer.

Moore's car was eventually found by police, and the suspect tried to flee on foot. He was caught, however, and taken into custody.

Along with his existing warrants, Moore faces multiple charges, including felony assault and failure to comply.
